Clean reflectors for lights and replace older halide bulbs, which change spectrum as they near burnout. Check water filters for clogs and maintain clean, sterile water infrastructure throughout to prevent buildup of biofilm that can feed pathogens. Inspect air ducts regularly to check for signs of condensation, which can harbor mold or pathogen spores.

Some of the worst threats don’t show up until it’s too late. Fusarium and Hop Latent Viroid (HLVd) can hide in plants long before symptoms appear. By the time you notice yellowing leaves or stunted growth, your yield has already taken a hit.
